Sucranov™ Micro
INCI: Dicaprylyl Ether and Decyl Glucoside and Glyceryl Oleate
CAS: 629-82-3; 141464-42-8; 68424-61-3
Sucranov™ Micro is a transparent and water soluble surfactant oil system which can be used in numerous applications to improve product efficiency and stability. It allows for high amounts of oil to be incorporated into clear aqueous formulations and wet wipes. It can produce a generous lather, boost cleansing efficacy, and improve conditioning performance.
Typically, silicone oils are used in combination with cationic polymers in shampoos to form substantive hair conditioning gels. Sucranov™ Micro is easier to formulate than silicones and allows formulators to develop good conditioning performance in silicone-free shampoos. It also synergistically improves conditioning performance when combined with cationic polymers, such as Polyquaternium-10 (Jarpol™ PQ10), by also creating a gel phase during application. Sucranov™ Micro can create a stronger gel phase which results in better conditioning as use levels are increased.
Sucranov™ Micro can also be added to shampoos to help with wet-combing and detangling. In addition, it can also help increase formulation stability of naturally-based shampoos with cationic polymers and gum-based thickeners while also improving wet combing. This thermodynamically stable product is easy to formulate with, compatible with a wide range of surfactants and can be used in cold processes. It is readily biodegradable and is considered naturally derived according to ISO-16128 standards.
