Jarplex™ IPS is a very light, spreadable and sprayable shea ester. This unique product has the ability to replace Isopropyl Palmitate (IPP) and/or Myristate (IPM) while providing the skin conditioning benefits of shea butter. Jarplex™ IPS can also act as a lubricant on the skin’s surface which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance, without the tackiness or greasiness of regular shea butter. It can lessen drag in lipsticks and give a silky thin coating on the skin. It helps seal moisture into the skin and is compatible with butters, oils, silicones, organic sunscreens, and other esters.

Jarplex™ IPS is an excellent alternative to other cosmetic esters for use in various skin, hair, and sun applications. It acts as a good spreading agent and dries to form a thin coating on the skin. Jarplex™ IPS has unique properties of low viscosity and an oily nature, which results in a non-greasy, hydrophobic film when applied to the skin or lips. In hand product formulations, it can be used to provide moisture without leaving a greasy residue. In hair care products, it can be used at higher levels to bring more shine and moisture to the hair without weighing it down. It is also suitable for cold processed formulations.
