This newly developed and patented procedure makes it possible to combine liquids and powders very effectively. Based on CO2 high pressure technology, liquids of any viscosity can be combined with powdery carriers to very high loading (up to 90 %) while the end product remains a free flowing powder.

When applied to either o/w or w/o emulsions, the composition, particle size, and stability of the emulsion droplets are preserved throughout the process. The powdered emulsion can then easily be re-released in the liquid phase by dissolving the carrier.

The CPF process is carried out in a low temperature and oxygen free environment, allowing for powder conversion of even sensitive liquids, such as extracts or fragrances, with no adverse effects on quality.
