Better Than Butter: Jarplex Liquid Shea Butter
Now, Jarchem’s liquid shea butters make it even easier to incorporate higher levels of this valuable ingredient into more of your cosmetic formulations.

arplex™ SB10 is a specially formulated liquid shea butter for extremely low temperatures. It has excellent freeze/thaw stability at higher shea levels and is perfect for formulations that need to remain crystal clear. It is an exceptional emollient for spray-on sunscreens and can be used from 1% to 100% shea levels.
Jarplex™ SB15 is our liquid shea for more standard applications. It has a melt point of 15C. It is ideal for creams and lotions that require a light feel or a viscosity modifier for body butters.
Shea Butter is a featured ingredient in many cosmetic formulations because:
- It has excellent moisturization capabilities
- Consumer demand for exotic emollients make it an attractive ingredient, and
- Its high levels of triterpene alcohols have a rejuvenating effect on skin
