and styling products the addition of Ilex resin improves
wet compatibility and feel, as well as elasticity
and hold. It also intensifies the hair color.

The selectively enriched content of faradiolesters
in the extract shows: Antiphlogistic activity, Anticicrobial
activity, Wound-healing activity, Especially anti-inflammatory
activity. Calendula formulations are recommended for
the treatment of damaged skin. They stimulate the
granulation, enhance the formation of cell tissue
and accelarate wound healing. The comparison of a
hydroalcoholic extract and a carbon dioxide extract
showed, that the CO2 extract is 3.5 times more effective
when comparing the same dosage. The excellent anti-inflammatory
effectiveness of carbon dioxide extracts is related
to the high content of faradiolesters.
