Deicing / Anti-icing Fluids

All of the deicing products sold under the JarGrip or CLEARWAY name meet the rigorous requirements of the current SAE AMS specifications. To ensure the quality of all of our products, JARCHEM has achieved ISO 9000:2000 registration.

JarGrip 2000 - Clearway 1 is a potassium acetate based fluid. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to ethylene glycol based fluids. In addition to eliminating the problems found with chlorides present in rock salt and calcium chloride it also eliminates problems caused by urea in environmentally sensitive areas.

JarGrip 1000 - Clearway 1000 is a propylene glycol/urea based fluid. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to ethylene glycol based fluids. It also eliminates the problems found with chlorides present in rock salt and calcium chloride.

JarGrip 1500 - Clearway 1500 is a potassium acetate/propylene based fluid. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to ethylene glycol based fluids. In addition to eliminating the problems found with chlorides present in rock salt and calcium chloride it also eliminates problems caused by urea in environmentally sensitive areas.

Jarcoal™ is an environmentally-friendly potassium acetate-based fluid widely used in the coal industry. It is a safe alternative to DEG, and is priced competitively. Spraying the interior of barges, railcars and trailers with Jarcoal™ prior to filling prevents the coal from sticking to the container. Spraying coal with Jarcoal™ prior to placing in piles or rail cars will prevent freeze-up. Jarcoal™ may also be used to thaw frozen coal. In addition, Jarcoal™ has been used on conveyor belts for easy transport of coal into power plants.
