JARCHEM® was founded in 1978 as a manufacturing and marketing company located in Newark, NJ near major roadways, railways, and Port Newark. JARCHEM® is an ISO 9001:2008 registered company. JARCHEM® has three main business units: Personal Care, Industrial Salts and Speciaty Chemicals. JARCHEM® sells products on a global basis utilizing our own personnel as well as an extensive network of worldwide agents and distributors.

The Industrial Salts business unit has fueled the growth of JARCHEM® since our inception in 1978 by marketing our high quality Jarace™ Sodium and Potassium Acetates, Benzoates, Glycolates and other specialties as well as commodities. Products are offered in Technical, FCC, ACS, and CP (Chemically Pure) grades. Other services include custom packaging, blending and drying. We also offer a variety of proprietary acetate based deicers. These products find use on airport runways, ramps and taxiways as well as roads, bridges and environmentally sensitive areas.

The Specialty Chemicals business unit has established itself as a world leader in Specialty Oleochemicals. Our Jarcol™ Alcohols are highly specialized Branch Chain or Unsaturated Oleyl Alcohols with many unique applications. We also have expanded our offering into Acids, Diols, Ethers, Natural Lipids which are unique building blocks for many applications. This business unit also holds strong market positions in Specialty Monomers for adhesive and coating applications as well as Hydroxylamine Sulfate for varied markets.

Our Personal Care business unit is one of the largest suppliers of innovative cosmetic ingredients in the world. We have been a leader in the trend toward natural ingredients,starting with Shea Butter products particuarly for cosmetic, nutritional and pharmaceutical markets. Our Jarplex™ Exotic Butters and Oils Portfolio has become a huge market success. We continue to "Build Bettter Butters" to help solve your complex formulations needs. In the American way, JARCHEM® was founded in 1978 as a one product company, working from one small building in the industrial heartland of Newark, New Jersey. From its humble beginning, JARCHEM® has grown into a multi-million dollar chemical manufacturing and marketing company.

JARCHEM® has chosen to remain in Newark because of its location adjacent to Port Newark, a gateway to worldwide ocean and air cargo transportation, as well as to major state and interstate highways.

In 1987 JARCHEM® acquired the Specialty Chemical Division of Fallek Chemical. This increased JARCHEM®'s ability to supply products with a agent and distribution system that spans the globe.

• BS in chemistry, biology, engineering or other technical field.

• 5-10 years technical sales experience with a proven track record of success in developing business with specialty chemicals.

• Related industry experience to our core markets or products.

• Core markets include:: Metalworking, Personal Care, Food Nutrition And Feed,  Adhesives and Coatings, Surfactants and Derivatives, HI&I, and other Industrials

• Experience managing distributors a plus.

• Preference of location in the Greater Chicago, IL area

• Travel as required to secure business. 50%

• Salary and bonus potential commensurate with experience.
