JARCHEM was founded in 1978 as a manufacturing and marketing company located in Newark, NJ near major roadways, railways, and Port Newark. In 2002, Jarchem achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration. Jarchem has three divisions: Acetate, Specialty and Deicer. Jarchem sells products on a global basis utilizing an extensive network of worldwide agents and distributors.

The Acetate Division has fueled the growth of Jarchem since our inception in 1978 by marketing our high quality Sodium and Potassium Acetates, Benzoates, Glycolates and other specialties as well as commodities. Products are offered in Technical, FCC, ACS, and CP (Chemically Pure) grades. Other services include custom packaging, blending and drying.

The Specialty Division was acquired from Fallek Chemical in 1987 and has established itself as a world leader in Specialty Alcohols under the Jarcol TM tradename. Jarcols are highly specialized Branch Chain or Unsaturated Oleyl Alcohols with many unique applications. In 1997, we began developing the market for specialty lipids in the cosmetic, nutritional and pharmaceutical markets. Our Shea Butter portfolio has become a huge market success. In 2005 Jarchem began as the distributor for Beraca Ingredients, Brazil. This is a line of exotic and active ingredients from the Amazon Rain Forest for use in all segments of personal care, as well as candlemaking and nutrition. In 2006, Jarchem became the exclusive North American agent for TEXTRON, Barcelona Spain. They offer some uniquely processed oils for a variety of applications.The Specialty Division also holds strong market positions in Specialty Monomers for adhesive and coating applications as well as Hydroxylamine Sulfate for varied markets.

The Deicer Division supplies a variety of acetate and propylene glycol based deicers. These products find use on airport runways, ramps and taxiways as well as roads, bridges and environmentally sensitive areas.
