Jarchem Industries Celebrates 25 Years in Business

Newark, NJ, September 15, 2003 - Jarchem Industries, Inc., an ISO 9001:2000 company and global suppliers of specialty ingredients for the chemical, nutrition and food, cosmetics and personal care, photographic, metal finishing, adhesives and coatings, and pharmaceutical industries, proudly announces its 25th anniversary.

Jarchem Industries was founded on June 23, 1978 as a one-product company, offering only sodium acetate, in the industrial heartland of Newark, New Jersey. Over the years, Jarchem has grown into a multi-million dollar chemical manufacturing, distributing and marketing company, offering hundreds of products to a wide variety of industries.

In 1986, Jarchem acquired the Specialty Chemical Division of Fallek Chemical, expanding its distribution system to global proportions. In 1997, Jarchem became the exclusive North American distributors for Karlshamns of Sweden, greatly increasing their offerings in the cosmetics and personal care industries.

Jarchem's chemicals and ingredients are used in everyday products that are familiar and routine, as well as products that are unique and quite extraordinary. Jarchem's products are used in a wide variety of applications to improve: airport runways, agriculture, potato chips, detergents, motor oils, DVDs, cosmetics, photographic film, deodorants and baby food to name a few. Jarchem continues to innovate and develop new and better ingredients that provide added quality and value to products in a diverse array of industries.
